     葛瑞蓋斯已經很久沒有出專輯了，不過他之前留下的好歌還是很值得回味!!從小就患有"語言障礙"的Gareth，經過很長時間的努力去克服，然而，常常會緊張到說不出話來的Gareth對音樂卻可以毫無障礙的將一個字、一個字，仔細且用心的唱出來，和一般人無異，甚至是更真心、更讓人感動。

     《Say It Isn't So》可以聽到Gareth迷人的嗓音和豐沛的情緒。整首歌的層次分明，旋律與歌聲幾乎是融為一體，更重要的是用心的詮釋，讓整首歌的格局和魅力增加不少，聽著聽著，心中激盪的音符久久不能散去!!

      《Anyone of Us》應該是他的成名曲，當年我還在國中時，這首歌真的紅遍整個校園，這個記憶到現在還是很清晰，幾乎走到哪裡都可以聽到這熟悉的旋律。琅琅上口的歌詞，加上清澈、獨特的嗓音，讓一聽到這首歌的人幾乎都會愛上這首歌，也是他在歌壇的成名之作!!

       雖然很久沒有音樂作品，但是他在這幾年也參加了音樂劇的演出，除此之外，他還是『McGuire Programme』(註：一個語言治療機構，專門治療"口吃"等語言障礙的病患)的語言治療師，將自身的痛苦化作幫助別人的助力，奉獻於這個社會。

        很多歌手似乎只是將旋律、歌詞唱出來，沒有用心的去了解一首歌背後的故事；唯有歌唱者融入歌曲，將心中的感受唱出來才能叫做"唱歌"，不論是"五音不全"或是"有語言障礙"，用心還是能讓聆聽者感動不已，而Gareth Gates的例子就是最好的典範。
